The duties of my second day back included the normal maintenance of the weight room as well as assisting trainers with younger athletes. As a person who likes to lift weights and exercise regularly, I appreciate a clean and organized weight room. Things like weights laying all over the floor, or weights still on barbells can be inconvenient to other lifters as well as a safety hazard. Many fitness complexes including Georgia Sports Performance have elderly members. If heavy weights are still on bars and around the weight room, a person of less strength could injure themselves trying to change the weight. I know I personally hate having to rack up crazy amounts of weight. It interrupts my workout and just looks messy.
